About East Bay Taiwanese American
Community Service Center
East Bay Taiwanese American Community Service Center (EBTACSC) is found in August,
2002 and is a non-profit organization which is initiated by Rev. William Chou of East
Bay Formosan United Methodist Church a year ago. EBTACSC is formed by East Bay Taiwanese
Association and East Bay Formosan United Methodist Church to provide services to East Bay
Taiwanese American Community.
The purposes of East Bay Taiwanese American Community Service Center are:
- To promote Taiwanese Culture and Languages;
- To provide assistance to non-English speaking Chinese and Taiwanese individuals who
obtain public benefits, and otherwise assist them in assimilating into the communities
in which they live;
- To care about East Bay Taiwanese American Community members in need.
Our programs and activities:
- Taiwanese Language School.
Adult class and Children class.
- Senior Enrich Programs:
Monthly meeting, Light exercise, Kara OK, health consultation.
- Seminars on health, legal, tax, parenting, family value, culture.
- Referrals for professional services (i.e. attorneys, accountants etc.)
- Shuttle service form Pleasant Hill Bart station to EBTACSC.
- Recruitment of volunteers to provide necessary transportation & translation.
- To visit or present concerns to community member who is in need.
- Senior lunch program.
